Admissions

Space permitting, Sparrow Academy shall admit all pupils who wish to attend the school. If the number of students who wish to attend exceeds the school’s capacity, new admissions shall be determined by a public random drawing. Admission preferences in the case of a public random drawing shall be given to the following students in the following order, with the exception of existing students, who are guaranteed admission in the following school year:

1. Children of current employees
2. Siblings of currently enrolled students
3. Children of Sparrow Academy board members and La Mesa-Spring Valley School District board members
4. Students who are currently enrolled in or reside in the elementary school attendance area of La Mesa Dale and La Mesa Arts Academy (for purposes of the Charter School Facility Grant Program)
5. All other students as permitted by law
